320k Live Event put on by PokerStars and CNE!

‍

It's that time of the year again!! While the CNE Poker Room might not be our favourite place to play in the province, this tournament is one of the main attractions of the year for MTT players in Ontario. PokerStars has teamed up with CNE to sponsor this yearly event and the prizepool is up from 256k last year to be expecting 320k as long as it sells out, which is highly likely. The CNE attracts a pretty soft field and you can take as many $200 single table shots at the qualifer as you need to get into one of the semi-final rounds.

There is on-demand $200 SNG's (single table tournaments) ongoing and running daily at CNE. Win a 10-man tournament to qualify for the Semi-Final.

Tournament Date: July 31-Aug 31

Semi-Final Rounds: Wednesday's
July 31, August 7, Aug 14, Aug 21, Aug 28

(8 players of each Semi-Final will make the Final)

Final - Friday Aug 30 at 2pm and if needed, Saturday August 31

Casino Niagara 1k Tournament

The Summer Main Event at Casino Niagara is heating up this August. This No-Limit Hold'em tournament runs from Tuesday, August 6th to August 9th, with a buy-in of $1,000. There are two starting flights, giving you multiple chances to chip up and take a shot at the title. Caesars Windsor Summer's End Bounty

Caesars Winsor has released their August 2024 Tournament schedule and the highlight is a $1500 buy-in Summers End Bounty Tournament. We expect the tournament to sell-out and be a major success like the previous Legends Tournament last November.

Tournament Date: August 23-August 25

Day 1 - Aug 23 at 4:15pm

Day 2- Aug 24 at 2:15pm

Final - Aug 25 at 12:15pm

Buy-in and Prize Pool: $1500 buy-in and undesignated prizepool

There will be $360 Qualifiers running to the $1500 Main Event at 6:15pm on the following dates:

The New Game in Town

I haven't yet had a chance to visit and review the new poker room in Pickering Ontario by Great Canadian Resorts, who also operate the property at Woodbine. 

They've got up a schedule of weekly $250 tournaments and a $575 High Roller with 120 max entrants after re-entry on August 27. These look pretty attractive to me and I hope to make it out there soon and play some.
